Please be aware of a scam involving someone falsely claiming to be a federal agent. The scammer may ask you to send cash over the phone and is using an app that displays the Hartshorne Police Department’s phone number to appear legitimate.

Important: The Hartshorne Police Department will never call and request payment over the phone. The scammer may also falsely claim they have spoken with a local officer to gain your trust.

If you receive a call like this or have any concerns, do not send money or share personal information. Contact the Hartshorne Police Department directly to verify any claims.
