In the City of Hartshorne, we are defined less by boundaries on a map than by the sense of shared values our residents hold dear. Small town values, guided growth, preservation of historical, cultural, and natural heritage are just a few of the core principles that makes City of Hartshorne a wonderful place to call home.
Our City has rich history as a coal mining community that begin approximately in 1850. The last census shows Hartshorne had a population of 1987 (2016). The town name can be linked back to Dr. Charles Hartshorne, a wealthy entrepreneur from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania who saw the great potential and opportunity in the area. He was an integral part of growth and development of our town.

Wednesday, May 3, 2023, the City of Hartshorne PWA Crew will be working to repair waterlines.
Hartshorne Water Residents will experience little to no water pressure between the hours of 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM.

Water Cut Offs
4/20/2023
Water cut offs will take place on Tuesday, April 25th after 8 a.m. If you haven’t paid your water bill that was due on April 10th your water service is subject to disconnection.
If water is turned off there will be a disconnection and reconnection charge.
